Remote Install

Remote Install lets you queue mods on GameBanana from any device, such as your phone. Deadlock Mod Manager downloads them on your PC and installs them into your active profile.

The manager checks the queue every 5 minutes while it's running. If your PC is off or the manager is closed, queued mods wait on GameBanana and install after you open it.

Link your GameBanana account

You do this once per PC.

1. Open Deadlock Mod Manager on your PC and leave it running.

2. On GameBanana, open any Deadlock mod and find the Deadlock Mod Manager 1-click button in its Files section. Click the arrow next to it and choose Enroll & Pair.

   

3. In Remote Install Setup, click Enroll to create your Remote Install key, then click Pair. Your browser asks to open Deadlock Mod Manager; allow it.

   

4. The manager shows the GameBanana account it's about to link. Check that it's yours, then choose Link account.

   

Queue a mod

On any Deadlock mod page on GameBanana, click the arrow next to the Deadlock Mod Manager 1-click button and choose Remote Install. You can do this from your phone or any other browser where you're signed in to GameBanana.

The manager installs it at its next check, in the background, into your active profile. It stays on whatever page you have open. Mods you already have installed are skipped.

To see your queue on GameBanana, open Remote Installs in your GameBanana control center. Mods the manager has picked up show as Retrieved.

Watch installs from the status bar

While you're linked, a banana icon appears in the status bar at the bottom of the window.

• The number next to the banana is how many queued mods are downloading or installing.
• Hover the banana to see each mod's progress and when the queue was last checked.
• Click the banana to check the queue right away instead of waiting for the next check.

The banana turns red if the last check failed. Settings → Integrations shows the error.

Manage the link

Open Settings → Integrations. The GameBanana section shows which account is linked and when the queue was last checked.

• Check now checks the queue immediately.
• Unlink stops checking the queue on this PC. Mods you queue afterwards stay on GameBanana until you link again.

To link a different account, choose Unlink, then pair again from that account on GameBanana.

Troubleshooting

Clicking Pair doesn't open the manager. Your browser may have blocked the link, so allow it to open Deadlock Mod Manager. If nothing happens at all, close and reopen the manager; it registers itself to open these links each time it starts.

Queued mods don't install. Make sure the manager is running and the banana in the status bar isn't red, then click it to check now. Check that the mod shows as Pending in Remote Installs on GameBanana.

Mods stopped arriving after I clicked Enroll again. Enroll creates a new key, which ends the old link. Click Pair on GameBanana to link the new key.

A queued mod failed to install. Once the manager picks up a mod, GameBanana marks it Retrieved and won't send it again. Install it from the mod's page in the manager, or queue it again with Remote Install.
